Last week a number of occupational therapists from South Yorkshire gathered together for a “Mock Royal College of Occupational Therapists Annual Conference” #COT2017.
So many local occupational therapists are now presenting at this conference that SOTCA provides an ideal opportunity for them to practice their presentations in front of each other. The idea of Laura Evans, Head of Occupational Therapy, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, SOTCA’s “Mock #COT2017 Conference”, was attended by students, clinicians and academics from Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust, Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University.
The event has featured as the first official blog of the Conference and is available at: https://otalk.co.uk/
At the SOTCA meeting occupational therapists also shared information about various practice development events and opportunities. Most significantly were discussions about the #AAATE2017 Conference coming to Sheffield in September. A number of Satellite Events will focus on occupational therapy and the Royal College of Occupational Therapy is proud to be supporting the Conference.
