Alive Inside!
Two researchers from the Rehabilitation and Assistive Technology (RAT) Research Group , Becky Field and Sarah Smith went to the UK
premiere of the documentary film "Alive Inside", shown as part of the
Sheffield SENSORIA music/film/digital festival. It was moving
documentary about the power of music to help people with dementia. We
really enjoyed watching it, as well as discussing our reflections
afterwards, about some questions it brought up for us as researchers in
the field of dementia. It's well worth watching!
Prior
to the film, an open public meeting of the 'Annual Meeting of the
Alzheimer Research UK Network Yorkshire Branch' was held. Professor Gail Mountain, Chair in Health Services Research RAT Group spoke about ‘Living well
with dementia’ at this meeting alongside other speakers and colleagues
from the University of Sheffield, Professor Annalena Venneri, Professor
Pual Ince and Dr Daniel Blackburn.
