The U-Tell was developed by the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust and the University of Ulster. It is the first system that enables patients to upload their vital signs (e.g. weight, blood pressure) via Voice Recognition Technology, a telephone keypad or via the internet on a computer. The system also provides feedback to patients e.g. those on Warfarin receive instant feedback tailored to the patient instructing them what action they need to take, if any.
