The fourth CATCH Networking Lunch was held in the Diamond on Monday 14th March where more than 30 academics, researchers and professional services staff networked at the event. Beside welcoming new academic members, many of our academics and researchers took advantage of our networking lunch to catch up with other members and discuss collaboration and innovation over a tempting selection of buffet food.
Following the buffet, Dr. Peter Cudd was talking about the upcoming AAATE2017 conference to be hosted by the University of
Sheffield in the Diamond in September 2017.
This talk was followed by a presentation of Anneliese Fraser about “How
to join The Conversation”, an independent, not-for-profit media outlet that
uses content sourced from the academic and research community – ideal to publish
opinion pieces. https://theconversation.com/uk
The last presentation by Simon Butler, Centre Manager for CATCH,
promoted the current vacancies as Chair/Reader at CATCH in Health Services
Research, as Chair/Reader in Machine Learning and the CATCH Innovation Vouchers.
“The CATCH Innovation Vouchers are a unique opportunity to start a new
collaboration. I am excited to solve a new real world problem.” Said Dr. Steven
Potter, a CATCH translational researcher who will be one of the translational
researchers who will work on CATCH Innovation Vouchers.
