The PGR Conference Approach
RAT Group's Sarah Smith was on the Faculty's Postgraduate Committee who organised a conference at the University of Sheffield for all research students in Medicine, Dentistry and Health. The idea of the conference was to emphasise how to make the most of a PhD experience both during the PhD and after the Viva. The event also gave the students a chance to explain their research to people outside their research field and to share their research with each other. This was written up in the Doctoral Times which can be viewed here.
