PhD student and RAT Group member Sarah Smith will be presenting her research at the ISA World Congress of Sociology this July in Yokohama, Japan. Sarah will be presenting her paper "Methodological Complexities Involved When Using Visual Methods in Dementia Research" (Smith and Mountain, 2014) during the the Visual Methods in Ageing Research: Methodological Issues theme of the event. Sarah will discuss how the use of video recordings has provided important information to make sense of people with dementia's interactions with technology and how the project has led to new understandings of how such information can be analysed and represented.
We will publish an article about Sarah's experience on this blog at the end of July.
