Professor Gail Mountain has been invited to speak at `The Ageing and Assisted Living Network: Working in Partnership to Improve Lives' event to be held at the University of Essex on 17th September.
The title of the keynote address is "The ageing population and technology - polar opposites?". The network has been established to promote innovative, multi-disciplinary
research in ageing and assisted living, particularly researchers
with expertise in biology, psychology, social and health science, computing
and engineering. It aims to improve the health and
quality of life of people with disabilities and older people and promote the translation of high quality assisted living technology research into
practice/care environments.
The event is free and open to researchers and those working in health and social care, government, industry, charities and end-user organisations. More details can be found at the event website.
