Launch of international distance learning module on telehealth and telecare

Monday 4^th February 2013 saw the launch of a new and exciting international distance learning module: Introduction to telehealth and telecare. 

This module is being run by the University of Sheffield as part of the MSc in Health Informatics in collaboration with the University of Western Ontario, Canada.

This is a highly innovative course as it allows students from the University of Sheffield to engage with academics and students from the University of Western Ontario (UWO).  As the module is taught online students from Sheffield and UWO are able to synchronously attend lectures the lectures and to interact with staff and students from both universities during real-time lectures. 

Members of the Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care for South Yorkshire (CLAHRC SY), Telehealth and Care Technologies theme (TaCT) have been involved in both developing and delivering teaching materials for this course.
