Interventions employing mobile technology for overweight and obesity

Peter Cudd and Mark Hawley, along with other colleagues in the School of Health and Related Research, have had a journal paper published in the prestigious Obesity Reviews. With an impact factor of 7.038, Obesity Reviews is a well-regarded and widely-read journal in the field of Endocrinology & Metabolism.

The article, Interventions employing mobile technology for overweight and obesity: an early systematic review of randomized controlled trials, examines the use of mobile technologies to promote weight loss [subscription required for full-text]. It presents a narrative review of current research, concluding that there is currently not enough evidence about the long-term benefits, though positive results are shown in the short-term.
