Mark Hawley gives invited talk at prestigious housing and care industry event

Centre Director Mark Hawley was invited to speak at the recent Innovative Housing and Technology Enabled Care Services event organised by CATCH collaborator Johnnie Johnson Housing (JJH).

JJH brought together a number of influential people from across the housing, health, academic and government sectors into one room to discuss the challenges that that the industry faces and how to work collaboratively together to provide innovative solutions in the delivery of services.

Mark spoke about the latest developments in assistive technology and connected healthcare. This included the walking speed sensor that we are working with JJH and GSPK Design Ltd to develop as an indicator of health problems in older adults.


As well as a speech from Mark there were also keynote speeches from the National Housing Federation, and the Learning and Improvement Network (LIN).
