Evaluation of complex health & care interventions using retrospective matched control methods

Evaluation of complex health and care interventions The Nuffield Trust has published a guide for evaluators on evaluation of complex health and care interventions using retrospective matched control methods (Davies et al 2015). The guide suggests that this method can deliver a robust evaluation ‘to assess the impact of changes on outcomes and costs over time’. Ten steps towards retrospective matching to evaluate new health and care service models are outlined. The guide is available via this link.
