Kat Melling,
Theme Manager for CLAHRC-YH TaCT theme recently attended the Mixed Methods in
Research Association Conference in Boston, MA 26-29th June 2014.
The
conference theme was “Coming at Things Differently” and focused on harnessing
the heterogeneity of mixed methods research. The conference aimed to provide a
platform to explore and expand the conversation about mixed methods.
Kat presented
a paper “Grounded theory and Structural equation modelling: Irreconcilable
differences or a match made in heaven?” Kat’s presentation addressed issues of
philosophy of research and pragmatic issues of cohesively integrating the two
studies.
