It is common practise to involve people with
dementia in research but rarely are people with the condition asked for
their opinions on research priorities. For example 'what research do you
think should be done, what questions do you think need answering and
what topics do you think are most important?'
People with dementia are experts of their condition
thus as researchers, clinicians and those who would like to learn more
about the topic, we should be listening and learning from the experts.
We are holding a workshop at the University of York on
Friday 18th July 2014 and we would like your input. If you feel unable
to contribute but are aware of someone else who may benefit please
forward this email to them.
Fir further information please click here.
What
are the questions that people with dementia and those supporting them
have for research? We want to hear ideas and views so that our research
can make a difference.
This event will bring together those living with the condition, practitioners from health and social care and researchers
