Telehealth and Telecare for those with Learning Disabilities - Competition for funding to develop your own products!

A new Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) has been launched by NHS England, in partnership with the Academic Health Science Networks (AHSNs). The projects will aim to improve the physical and mental health outcomes for those living with learning disabilities.

This is a competition open to those from single companies from the private, public and third sector who are able to supply NHS and its delivery partners with a resulting product on a commercial basis.

The competition will be in two phases:

1. Show technical feasibility of the proposed product/project.
2. Contracts will be given to those who are invited to develop and evaluate their products.

Only those who completed phase 1 will be eligible for phase 2.

Developments will be 100% funded and will be selected by an "open competition process".

The competition opened on May 19th, 2014 and closes at 1200hrs on 10th July, 2014.
