Over 100 participants came together at the ‘Research into Ageing across Yorkshire; highlighting our strengths’ conference held on 28 April 2014.

This event brought together the latest research ideas and developments from across the region with a particular emphasis on emerging priorities, public and patient involvement in research, working with practitioners and how best to involve the whole community.

The wonderful hosts were from the Yorkshire Comprehensive Research Network – Ageing Priority Group and the White Rose Network which includes the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York. ScHARR’s Gail Mountain, Professor of Health Services Research (assisted living research) initiated the conference as interim lead of the Ageing Priority Group and chaired the conference.

The conference summary report will go to the Yorkshire Comprehensive Research Network to help inform future research plans.
