Prof Gail Mountain returns from Hong Kong
Professor Gail Mountain recently returned from Hong Kong where
she had spent three days talking with occupational therapists in
practice about her research as part of their Specialty Program in
Medical Services for Occupational Therapists experienced in medical and
geriatric specialties. The trip was funded by the Hong Kong Hospital
Authority.
The focus of the three days was upon the Lifestyle work that Gail is
engaged in but she was also able to extend the discussions to include a
consideration of the benefits of design and assistive technologies. The
trip was fascinating in many ways; Gail was particularly impressed by
the hard work and dedication of the people she met.
