Ever thought about monitorring and recording abnormal sleep movements...?

Can you imagine having a child in the next room, sleeping, knowing they are prone to epileptic fits? Not knowing when they may next have a seizure, not knowing if you will be able to help them? Worrying that you can't keep them safe 24/7?

If the answer is yes to any of the above then a new application, SAMi may be able to offer you the peace of mind you have been longing for!

What is SAMi?
A sleep activity monitor that can be used by anybody (not just for children!) It is useful for those who would like to monitor or be monitored during the night.

How?
Audio and visual information is taken via a remote video camera and is sent to an app ("SAMi" - FREE to download on any iOS device e.g. iPhone/iPod). The app analyses the data and when something unusual happens (e.g. epileptic seizure) an alarm will sound and record the unusual activity. (It is important to note the alarm doesn't sound when the child/person is fidgeting in their sleep!)

Why?
This timely alarm would enable to parent/caregiver to act appropriately, potentially saving lives.
