Jo Nicholson was invited to present key findings from the
MALT study at the Centre for International Research on Care, Labour and
Equalities, based within the University of Leeds.
The Centre is currently undertaking a programme of work on the relationship
between caring and technology, including the AKTIVE project,
which explores how telecare can improve the lives of older people. Jo’s
presentation on 20th February 2014 focused on the role of
sense-making in frontline staff acceptance of telehealth, which she argued was
an important process for clinicians as they developed knowledge about how to
monitor patients remotely with telehealth and realise the potential value for
patients and for their own practice.
