Assistive Technology as a response to global challenges

Dr Peter Cudd’s presentation at the ES:GC2 (EU Science:Global Challenges Global Collaboration) conference highlighted the role of the Association for the Advancement for Assistive Technology in Europe (AAATE) in Assistive Technology research and collaboration for EU Horizon 2020 funding.
The symposium and workshop “Global Challenges and Global Collaboration in Assistive Technologies” was held at the European Parliament, Brussels, at the beginning of March. It aimed to engage participants in collaboration for Assistive Technology research ahead of EU Horizon 2020 funding, the European Union’s funding programme for research and innovation beyond 2014, and creating a global consortium. The presence of an Assistive Technology symposium at this prestigious scientific event establishes it as an important component in the global challenges of health, ageing and disability.

More details on the session can be found at the session web page.
