Teaching the next generation: an introduction to telehealth and telecare

The RAT group are involved in an exciting new collaboration between ScHARR, the Information School and the University of Western Ontario. We're working together to deliver a new module on the MSc Health Informatics (University of Sheffield) and MSc Health Information Science (University of Western Ontario).

The module aims to take a holistic approach to assistive technologies, looking at user requirements, potential benefits and issues of implementation. This fascinating international programme has been developed in partnership between Canda and the UK, and brings together our joint expertise in assistive technology. Debbie Fitzsimmons will be leading the Canadian side of the project, and Liz Brewster will be co-ordinating for the Sheffield students.

We're looking forward to welcoming our first cohort of students via our distance learning software in January 2013, and sharing our international perspectives on telehealth and telecare with students at both universities.
