Running, cycling and baking for cancer research!

Stuart preparing for his mile-long swim
Over the past couple of months, the RAT group has been working very hard to raise money for national and local cancer charities including Cancer Research, Macmillan, Breast Cancer Care and Little Fox's in memory of our colleague Alison White.

Louise, Claire, Lynne & Sarah
Our runners and riders were:

 - Mark Hawley and Simon Judge who ran the Sheffield Half Marathon.

- Sarah Hargreaves who baked and sold delicious flapjack.

- Sarah Creer, Lynne Codd, Claire Bentley, Sam Humberstone and Louise Newbould who ran the Race for Life.

- Stuart Parker who aimed to swim in the Great Northern Swim (cancelled due to poor weather conditions) and the Great Scottish Swim in Strathclyde (cancelled due to algae bloom). In the end, Stuart undertook a mammoth bike ride from Sheffield to Norwich to raise money for cancer research.

In total, we raised:
For Little Fox's - £653.47
For Cancer Research - £385.00
For MacMillan - £405.00
For Breast Cancer Care - £212.50

Making a massive total of £1655.97!

Thank you to everyone who ran, cycled and baked their way to this fantastic total, and a huge thank you as well to everyone who sponsored those involved.
