Last Networking Lunch of 2016 is twice as good!

More than 30 members of the CATCH community gathered last month for the last Networking Lunch of 2016.

Held in the Pemberton Lecture Theatre, attendees enjoyed talks from not one but two guest speakers. Marcus Crossley, Senior Project Engineer from the Medical AMRC gave us a welcome introduction to the work of the Centre and shared fascinating examples of 3D printing. It was clear from the response that his talk got a lot of the audience thinking about potential future collaborations.

We were delighted to also be joined by Dr Julie Robillard from the University of British Columbia who spoke at the lunch as part of her visit to the University. Dr Robillard took us through her research on dementia as well as the problems surrounding unregulated websites offering medical advice.
The next Networking Lunch will be held on Tuesday 17th January 2017 in the Council Room, Firth Court. We’re delighted to be joined by Professor Mike Trennel from Newcastle University, Clinical Research Scientist and Director of the NIHR Innovation Observatory. Please contact Laura Murray if you would like to attend.

See you in the New Year!
