‘Valuing Active Life in Dementia’ (VALID) study update

The ‘Valuing Active Life in Dementia’ (VALID) study has just published a newsletter to update participants, researchers and people interested in the progress of the study.  VALID is examining the clinical and cost effectiveness of a Community Occupational Therapy intervention (COTiD-UK) for people living with dementia and their supporters, in the community.  The intervention promotes independence and quality of life. A randomised control trial is currently comparing   COTiD-UK to the usual care people receive. VALID will be recruiting until end of September 2016.

Group members Professor Gail Mountain with researchers Becky Field and Laura Di Bona manage the Sheffield site for VALID.
