Telehealth and telecare - POST Note
It is a widely known fact that the
elderly population in the UK is growing, as is the number of people
suffering from long term conditions. With the NHS struggling financially
and the demand of it's services increasing, this problem is putting
pressure on UK health systems. Some people believe that support could be
provided by technology to help deliver efficient, good quality services
to patients. This note describes current UK telehealth and telecare
initiatives and how they could help deliver future care.
