Mindfullness online to reduce stress, anxiety and depression symptoms
The University of Oxford collaborated with the Mental Health Foundation and produced an interesting paper published in BMJ open towards the end of last year. The research showed that after participants toolk part in an online mindfulness course they demonstrated a 58% reduction in anxiety, 58% in depression and 40% in perceived stress. Depression, anxiety and stress levels decreased further a month after the course was completed.
It has been stated that people's ability to seek support on their own and in familiar surroundings (e..g at home) equips them to use learnt skills more effectively.
