Mark Hawley on BBC West Midlands radio discussing the use of technology to help people live more independently at home

Friday morning saw Professor Mark Hawley's appearance on the Pete Morgan at Breakfast show on BBC West Midlands radio. Mark was on the programme to talk about the use of technology to help older people live more independently at home. This was in response to Birmingham City Council announcing that they were trying to reduce the number of older people going into care homes and wanting more people to be cared for in their own homes.

The interview can be heard through this link with a longer interview at approximately 35 minutes. Discussions on the use of telecare and more generally about people who receive care in their own homes can be heard throughout the programme.
