RAT group journal article wins Highly Commended award
A RAT group journal article has been given a Highly Commended award by the Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence 2013. Simon Brownsell, Steven Blackburn and Professor Mark Hawley’s paper “User requirements for an ICT-based system to provide care, support and information access for older people in the community” published in the Journal of Assistive Technologies describes a mixed methods study gathering user requirements for an assistive technology prototype. It highlights the importance of user involvement in the design and specification process to more appropriately meet the needs of individuals and improve acceptance.
The paper, along with all the award-winning papers will be available for free access until the 13th July 2013.
